About Sonia Lana Siu – The Artist

My love for art began when I was 3.

My artistic journey began with a sketchbook, a simple desire to capture the world around me. While formal training provided a foundation, the truly transformative moment came when I was first given a large canvas. It was a revelation—a shift from the intimate page to an expansive surface where I could fully immerse myself in the act of creation.

This passion was nurtured in a dedicated childhood studio—a bright, wonderfully imperfect sanctuary where I was encouraged to think big. It was there, climbing a ladder to reach the top of enormous canvases, that I learned there were no limits to expression. This physical freedom gave me the courage to explore different styles, leading me to the abstract and mixed-media work I create today. I feel incredibly blessed to do what I truly love, and my deepest hope is that this passion resonates in every piece.
